Today our School Councilors took part in the Remembrance Service at the War Memorial with members of the local community, laying a wreath from the school community.
Birds
Welcome back to Monks! Last year, Miss Stafford-Evans led a project to update our school foyer with our class birds. The children in the classes worked together to create these beautiful mosaics. Make sure you have a look the next time you pop into the school office.
Lunch
As you know, we have changed caterers to Impact Food Group (Innovate). The lunches look delicious and have been approved by the children. Remember to order school lunches each week by Saturday if you would like your child to try them.
Mrs Hirst laid a posy of flowers, from her garden, in Green Park for Her Majesty, on behalf of Monks Risborough School.
We had a lovely time celebrating the Queen's Jubilee with our very own Queen -Mrs Nish! Thank you to the Friends for providing the decorations and organising the tea party after school. A big thank you to Beechdean for providing the ice-cream!
Remember to wear Red, White & Blue for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee tomorrow, 24th May!
As part of our learning about settlements this term, Hawks created posters about the things they love about our local community. Princes Risborough library and the Tourist information Centre (TiC) have used our work to create a display for their visitors.
Why not pop along and have a look!
Thank you for showing our school value of generosity by donating to Comic Relief. A big thank you to Year 3 who showed the value of responsibility and sold red noses to the classes everyday for the past two weeks. We raised £360 from selling Red Noses and £141 on our non uniform day! Well done and thank you again to everyone!
Mr Stannett has been working very hard on our new allotment area for the school. Look out for more exciting developments!
