We have loved our first two weeks in Wrens class. We have been doing lots of outdoor learning across many subjects. We were asking questions to help find the Gruffalo and went outside to practise drawing question marks in chalk. We also found his footprints around the school - where has he been? In Geography, we were looking around the school and taking photos to create a map for Robins class. We went outside and all had a turn at using the iPad to take photographs. We also improved our fine motor skills but creating structures in our outdoor area. Can you see our Buckingham Palace we made out of respect for our late Queen?
We have been so busy exploring the great outdoors the past few weeks! We have made Gruffalo traps in an attempt to help the mouse find that sneaky, brown beast. What do you think of our creations? You can see how our designs have changed over time.
We also used chalk to create maps as we learned about our local area and used an aerial view map to see our school and even where we live.
It has been great to get outdoors this week! We loved making the houses we designed in DT outside - it was great to try and use different resources to what we normally have available indoors. In our RE lesson we were learning about Baptism so we took a trip to see Peter at St Dunstan's. Isn't the church beautiful?! We had a great time - that you Reverend Peter for hosting us!
