1:1 Teaching Assistant  

Term time only, 5 days per week, 08.45 to 15.30

Bucks Pay Range 2, £19,856 to £22,316 pro rata, depending upon experience.

Required from September 2021

 

We have a wonderful opportunity at Monks Risborough CE Primary School for a one-to-one teaching assistant need to work with a Year 3 child with sensory processing disorder, neuromuscular delay and school related anxiety.

The ideal SEND TA will have a passion for working with SEND pupils and has experience of support children with sensory processing disorder. Your role will be to support a specific child as outlined in their Educational Health Care Plan.

About the role:

To work closely with an individual child to allow him/her to access the mainstream curriculum as guided by the class teacher. Under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo you will support the child to engage in the classroom activities-adapting activities as necessary to fully involve the child. You will deliver high quality, personalised interventions as guided by the class teacher, SENDCo and outside agencies. You will promote full inclusion; encouraging and providing opportunities for the child to engage with his/her peers and integrate fully into school life.

 

The child’s need may be met in a variety of ways and this may include:

  • Proprioception exercise
  • Co-regulation with the child
  • Clarifying and explaining instructions
  • Innovating or adapting task to suit individual need of child
  • Motivating and encouraging the child
  • Supporting and encouraging child to engage with their peers
  • Feeding back and seeking support from class teacher/ SENDCo in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for child

 

About you; the successful applicant will:

  • Be a team player who promotes inclusion and has a positive attitude to school life
  • Have experience of work in a primary school
  • Have SEN experience and be able to adapt the curriculum to support the needs of the child
  • Be confident delivering interventions to an individual and to small groups
  • Be confident when liaising with professionals and parents when necessary
  • Demonstrate our School Values – Friendship, Respect, Responsibility, Community, Perseverance, Generosity, Thankfulness and Love
  • Be open to new ideas and receptive to professional advice.

MIDDAY SUPERVISOR

 

Monday to Friday - 11.50 to 13.40

Salary £17,190 per annum pro rata equivalent to £8.91 per hour

 (We would consider splitting the role between 2 suitable candidates)

Term time only required as soon as possible

 

 

Monks Risborough CE Primary School is a thriving, successful school in a pleasant rural locality.

 

We need an enthusiastic and supportive individual to join our friendly Midday Supervision team. This role involves the supervising of our pupils in the dining room and at play during their lunchtime break. No previous experience is necessary, as full training will be given.
