Our Class Reader this half term is The River Singers by Tom Moorhouse, which has been chosen to support the children's learning for the topic of 'Do we need to Respect our Rivers?' Through this topic, children will discover the importance of rivers and understand the processes of erosion, transportation and deposition of material. Skills such as being able to identify physical, geographical features will be greatly developed in this topic. Their learning will ultimately help them decide if we need to respect our rivers, not only in the way that we treat them but also in our awe of them.
