Our topic for Spring 1 is 'Flying High'.
Our lead subject is history for this topic and we will be learning all about development in the world of aviation. We will be aiming to be able to use secondary sources to find answers to simple questions about the past, sequence events beyond our living memories and use our own experience to compare with the past. In other aspects we will be making and flying our own kites, creating online story books about flight and exploring different materials in the world.
We are aiming to answer the question 'When did famous aviators such as Amelia Earhart and the Wright Brothers show perseverance?' by the end of our learning journey this half term.
During this half term we will be taking a trip to The Shuttleworth Collection at the Old Warden Aerodrome to see some older planes in real life!
