2- Mayans

Welcome to our second Autumn term, which includes the run up to Christmas!

This half term our topic is the Mayans, and we will be exploring their life and achievements, compared to our lives nowadays. In our English lessons we will be exploring Mayan life through 3 different books - The Chocolate Tree, Rain Player and History in Infographics: The Mayans. Each will inspire a different writing outcome! I think the children will agree that our most exciting part of this half term in our DT lessons, where we will be tasting, designing, creating and evaluating our own hot chocolate recipes, based on the traditional Mayan design! 

We are beginning our half term with a special Arts week and Year 6 will be exploring and celebrating the culture of India! Photos will be added to the page below as the week progresses!
