Hooray! Back to school soon!
This week, as you know, is book week. As I mentioned in an email this week, we will be looking at the new book about the life of Sir Captain Tom. Hopefully over the weekend and throughout the week you will be able to speak to one of your older relatives to find out a little about their life.
Throughout the week we would like the children to create a book about that person. This can take whatever form you and your child want it to. You can just fold over some paper into a booklet or make one with a hard cover. The choice is yours. It would be great if they could bring it to school on Monday 8th so that we can display it with the others in the classroom.
Here is the link to the story about Captain Tom - 'One hundred steps' for you to share with your child.
I have recorded 3 video phonics lessons for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Nothing for Thursday and Friday so that you can concentrate on finishing the book.
Maths is 3D shapes and patterns. Links for the White Rose Maths lessons will be sent via Tapestry.
