In Year 5, we planted and grew carrots! They were ready to harvest at the beginning of Year 6, and we had to prepare them so people could eat them. The mud had to be brushed off, before they were washed, dried, peeled and chopped. We then got to eat them! Some of the carrots were the traditional orange, but we also planted a purple carrot variety. They tasted just like the orange carrots - carroty!
