Romeo and Juliet

Our main focus for this term has been all about Romeo and Juliet.  For English, we have pretended that we are Romeo and written (very impressive!!) letters to Lord Capulet, explaining why we should marry Juliet.  After drafting and editing our letters individually, we worked in 3s to ensure that our letters effectively met the purpose.  We changed vocabulary, punctuation and some people even rewrote whole sections with their groups!

World Book Day and Week

Our first week of this term was World Book Week! We explored the text 'Bloom' and rewrote it using narrative poetry. We then painted some pictures using different equipment and published our poetry on top! Everyone was also encouraged to dress up as a book character on World Book Day - even the teachers got involved!
