Weeks 4-6
We have loved learning about light and dark and even took our learning outside using data loggers! We were looking at how dark shadows are that we can find in different places around the school. We then tried to recreate the darkness of the shadows using greaseproof paper - increasing the layers took it from translucent to opaque.
Weeks 1-3
Year 3 have been doing lots of learning topics in Maths. They went outside to find all the money that Mrs Shea and Miss Gehnich had dropped out of their purses in the playground! They thoroughly enjoyed collecting coins and using their skill of adding to calculate how much money they had lost! They then were able to use the money to buy objects from the shop, finding change and practising their subtraction skills.
