Key Dates
For Children Starting School or Moving up to Junior School in September 2024
01 November 2023 | Primary Portal opens at 11am on this date (Buckinghamshire residents only)

20 December – 04 January 2024 | Christmas Break |
12 January 2024
| Paper application for junior school to be returned to the infant school by 9 am
|
15 January 2024 – Deadline | Reception and Junior Transfer application Portal closes at midnight |
29 January | Latest date for moving into or within Buckinghamshire (and providing evidence to show residency) for us to use the new address for the first round of allocations.
Final date for agreed ‘special cases’ to be considered as ‘on time’ (a house move is not considered to be a special case).
Applications received between 16 January and 29 January that are not deemed to be ‘special cases’ will be processed for 16 April but will be considered after all ‘on time’ applications have been processed (late but included in the 1st round)

| Closing date for: 1st round acceptances via the online portal which closes at 11.59pm new applications for the 2nd round mover address evidence for the 2nd round. We do not accept changes of preference for the 2nd round

21 May | 2nd round allocations emailed to parents and schools advised of further admissions. |
27 May – 31 May | Half Term |
28 May | Closing date for: acceptances from 2nd round new applications for 3rd changes of preference mover address evidence for 3rd round |
21 June | 3 round allocations emailed to parents and schools advised of further admissions. Waiting list positions advised to parents |
28 June | Closing date for: acceptances from 3rd round new applications for 4rd changes of preference mover address evidence for 4th round |
02 July | Transition Day. Many children attend their new school for the day |
19 July | 4th round allocations emailed to parents and schools advised of further admissions. |
23 July | Summer Break |
26 July | Closing date for: Acceptances from 4th round & waiting list positions advised to parents

From 29 June –26 July | Applications will be processed by 2nd August where places are available |
Applications received after 26 July | Will be allocated on an ad hoc basis where places are available |
28 August | New allocation lists sent to schools. |
