We have been learning to spell words with the ending 'able' such as adaptable, comfortable, believable, enviable, knowledgeable, noticeable, miserable, enjoyable, predictable and understandable. We have been considering the dots and dash sounds in each of these words to help us spell them.

We have also looked at the root word before adding the ending 'able' to become an adjective e.g. comfort = comfortable, rely = reliable, misery = miserable and the spelling rules we need to learn. Followed by how we can then add the prefix 'un' to the adjective to create uncomfortable, unsuitable, unbearable etc.

Our jumping orange words were: parliament, yacht, communicate and define.
