Roald Dahl Museum

Year 3 and 4 travelled to Great Missenden to visit the Roald Dahl museum. We had a wonderful time exploring the museum and exploring the village of Great Missenden, where Roald Dahl lived for much of his life.

Our walk around the village included looking at local landmarks that had inspired Roald Dahl during his writing - this included the books Matilda and Danny the Champion of the World. We also walked up to the church of St Peter and St Paul where Roald Dahl is buried.

Exploring the museum was great fun as it provided an opportunity to look at artefacts that belonged to Roald Dahl such as first drafts of many of his books. There was a lot of information about Roald Dahl's life and there was also a replica of the writing shed in which he spent much of his time.
