Monks Risborough Governing Body - Overview

The Governing Body of Monks Risborough, is in place to develop both the strategic direction of the school, as well as ensure accountability, to help raise standards.

The Governing Body is made up of a variety of volunteers who have been selected to represent the views of differing stakeholders.  Elections for Parent Governors are held at the end of each Governor's four year term.

If you would like to contact our Chair of Governors or any other member, please speak with the school office.

The full Governing body meets in the first half of each term with an independent clerk form the Bucks Learning Trust.  All governors are members of the General Purposes Committee which meets in  the second half of each term.  this is usually clerked by a governor.

The main committees supporting the work of the Governing Body are listed below. Each Committee meets at least once every half term reviewing the progress and focus areas for each relevant part of the school.

Diversity Statement

The governors believe it is important that board reflects the diversity of the school community they serve. Diverse boards promote inclusive school environments and provide diverse role models for staff and young people.

The governors are currently collecting data on the diversity of the board, including data on age, gender, and ethnicity. They will use that data to inform their recruitment and training needs and ensure there is always a diverse range of perspectives around the table to support robust decision making.

Due to our relatively small governing board, we will not publish this diversity data online as individual governors could be identified and we have a legal obligation to protect their personal data.
