  • Young Climate Warriors Visit to School

    Fri 21 Nov 2025

Today, we enjoyed an informative assembly from a representative from the Young Climate Warriors Organisation. We learnt about climate change and how we can make small changes to our behaviour to help make a big difference to our world!
Please look out for the fun weekly challenges that will be posted on Weduc! Your family can also join in. The eco-council will be reminding us regularly to take part and to remember the YCW saying, 'If you love your planet, make a change! Little by little, a little becomes a lot!'

Please see the YCW website for further details.

  • Year 6 Visit to Gurdwara

    Thu 13 Nov 2025

Today, 13th November, Year 6 went to the Gurdwara.  When we got there we went into a marquee and met Nirmal, our guide. Before we went into the Gurdwara we had to wash our hands, take our shoes off and cover our heads. When we went in he showed us the kitchens and that some people were peeling potatoes and chopping them. There were also big bowls and pots and pans, some were being stored and some were being washed.  We also saw the gym in the Gurdwara. Then we went upstairs and saw both prayer rooms. We first went into the main one and could pretend to give a donation and bow to their God.  In the second prayer room we went behind the podium and saw the written scriptures and why they were waving the Chaur (a religious wand).  Nirmal then told us about the 5Ks and how they were important.  We then ate lunch sat in the dining hall with the members of the Gurdwara and the public before coming home.

A huge thank you to Risborough Rugby Club who have kindly donated some new rugby balls to the school. A special thank you to the club's chairman Andy Emmett, also one of our parents, who made this possible.
