At Monks we are working together to improve our climate little by little. We have an eco council made up of children from across all year groups.  We have received the Green Flag Award.

Our Easter holiday challenge encourages pupils to get outside and 'look with different eyes'.

This week's challenge includes some fascinating science - from walrus and penguin colonies being discovered from space using satellite imagery, to the remarkable rewilding story unfolding at Knepp in West Sussex. We think the children will love it!

For this week's challenge we are looking at the energy-guzzling potential of a kettle!

An average kettle uses as much energy in the 3 minutes or so it takes to boil a litre of water as an energy-efficient LED light bulb uses in ten hours!
