Year 3 had a wonderful day experiencing the an ancient Greek life on Tuesday. A big thank you to those parents who helped out on the day, we couldn't have done it without you!
We dressed up as ancient Greeks for the day. First Ariadne, told us what crafts we would be doing they were, mosaic making, candle making, wax tablets, making medicines and making a game (it was like chess). We went around most of the crafts providing there were no more than six people at a table. We had lunch after lunch, Ariadne told us about a letter. the letter said that we the Greeks, had won a war and we were going to have a feast. We were spit into three groups, one of the groups, the servants, handed out some drinks and a bit of food - pitta bread, tomatoes, feta and olives. The second group told the story of Pandora's Box and the third group acted the play of the Hare and the Tortoise. At the end of the day we were able to take home our crafts. The next we wrote a thank you letter to the mistress. Our favourite parts of the day was making the mosaic and eating the food whilst watching entertainment.

To write a recount (Visit to Maidenhead Synagogue)
I came to school and Mrs Shea took the register. Then, the coach arrived ad we were off. It took about 45 minutes. Finally, we got there and met a person called Diz and she showed us all of Maidenhead Synagogue. We learnt about David and the Floor and at the end of the trip we had some bread and water and then drove back.
