Young Voices 2026 Birmingham

On Thursday the 15th of January, Year 5 and 6 went on a coach to the BP Pulse Arena, Birmingham, to perform at Young Voices because it's important to sing sometimes. We left at 10.15 and got on the coach with Year 6 and sat down with our partners.

We parked at 12.30pm and walked into the stadium with our groups. We sat down in our seats at 1.15 and had lunch. Then we had a rehearsal of songs some medleys  Wicked, pop, sea shanty and songs like  Power in Me and Something inside so strong. We did some Urban Strides dancing and then stopped for dinner.  The chatter of excitement was so loud I could hardly hear myself think! Next we were given a small torch and when the concert was on we waved our torches wildly! Evelyn P spotted my mum and dad but I didn’t see them. We sang lots of songs and I couldn't choose my favourite one!

Finally after the long wait it was time for the real thing!  As soon as the lights turned on all of my nerves washed away and I was finally ready.

The performance was so fun and so loud and so amazing that I don't think I will ever forget. My favourite song was probably the pop medley but it was so hard to choose because they were all so fantastic. It was such a good experience and I hope everyone loved it as much as me!

After, we hopped on the coach and I sat next to Josie. We played with my panda, Ying and tried to get to sleep but we couldn't and kept laughing about random things!

Then we got back to school and my mum and dad were there. They picked me up in my dad’s red car and I got home and told my gramma all about our trip to Young Voices 2026!
