Today, 13th November, Year 6 went to the Gurdwara. When we got there we went into a marquee and met Nirmal, our guide. Before we went into the Gurdwara we had to wash our hands, take our shoes off and cover our heads. When we went in he showed us the kitchens and that some people were peeling potatoes and chopping them. There were also big bowls and pots and pans, some were being stored and some were being washed. We also saw the gym in the Gurdwara. Then we went upstairs and saw both prayer rooms. We first went into the main one and could pretend to give a donation and bow to their God. In the second prayer room we went behind the podium and saw the written scriptures and why they were waving the Chaur (a religious wand). Nirmal then told us about the 5Ks and how they were important. We then ate lunch sat in the dining hall with the members of the Gurdwara and the public before coming home.
