The 'hook' for our introduction to our new class text, Song of the Dolphin Boy, was to read and perform the poem at the start of the book. Mr Mullen allowed us to choose to do this either in groups or in pairs. Many of us chose to include actions during our performances.
The poem gave us an insight into what the book might be about and allowed us to make some predictions.
