Year 4 visit to the Neasden Temple.
When we got there we took our shoes off and put them in a special room just for shoes and coats. Then we waited for some other school to arrive and then sat on the carpet and watched a video about how they built the temple. Next we went upstairs to see the statues of the Gods they believe in and we had to be very careful and quiet. We watched they candle dance which they sang with and waved candles around the Gods they were men dressed in beautiful cloth, everything was very precious. There were lots of Gods and carvings on the walls. We prayed to some of the Gods. We then went on to a balcony that we could see everything as it was very high up. We then went downstairs in groups to do a treasure hunt we were looking for different Hindu items and answering questions. All our body parts had to be covered apart from our hands and faces, grown-ups should cover their faces if they were a lady. We had our lunch outside sitting on marble benches and we got a bit wet, and then we had our photo taken by the gold statue.
